Little Red Chef Catering Terms and Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the date.
- Final Balance: The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event.
- Guest Numbers: Final numbers must be confirmed 5 days prior; reductions after this time cannot be refunded.
2. Equipment Hire
- Initial Consultation: For larger events, additional equipment requirements (e.g., crockery, linens, glassware, or cooking apparatus) will be identified and advised during initial meetings.
- Hire Charges: Any equipment sourced specifically for your event will be re-charged to the client as part of the total invoice.
- Care & Liability: The client is responsible for all hired items from the point of delivery until collection. Any lost, broken, or damaged items will be charged at the full replacement cost.
- Damage Deposit: We reserve the right to request a refundable damage deposit for equipment hire, which will be returned once all items are checked post-event.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be provided in writing. Charges are based on the notice given:
- 21 days' notice: Only the initial deposit is retained.
- 10 days' notice: 50% of the total event cost is payable.
- Less than 5 days' notice: 100% of the total event cost is payable.
4. Allergens & Dietary Requirements
- Notice: The client must provide a full list of guest allergies at least 14 days before the event.
- Disclaimer: While we follow strict procedures, our kitchen handles all 14 major UK identified Allegens. We cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.
5. Liability
- Food Safety: We accept no liability for food safety once the designated service period has ended or if food is stored incorrectly by the client.
- General Liability: Our liability for any claim (excluding death or personal injury caused by our negligence) is limited to the total amount paid for the booking.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather or national emergencies).
6. Data Protection (GDPR)
We comply with the UK GDPR:
- Data Use: Personal data is collected only to fulfill your booking and is never shared with third parties for marketing.
- Your Rights: You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time.
7. Use of Photography and Testimonials
- Promotion: We may take photos of food and setups for promotional use (social media/website).
- Opt-Out: Identifiable photos of guests will not be used without explicit consent. Please notify us in writing if you wish to opt-out of event photography.
